The app says "Waking up server…" — what does that mean?

Our game server runs on a free tier that goes to sleep after inactivity. It takes up to 50 seconds to wake up. Just wait a moment and it will connect automatically.

Why do I need 5 players to start a game?

Mathpex is a multiplayer battle royale — it needs enough players to be competitive. Once 5 players are in the lobby, a vote to start will begin.

I joined but the game already started. What happens?

You'll wait in the lobby and automatically join the next round when the current game ends.

Can I change my player name?

Yes — you can set a custom name from the home screen before joining the lobby.

Does the app require an account?

No. Mathpex uses anonymous authentication — no email, no password, no sign-up required.

The app is not connecting. What should I do?

Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, the server may be temporarily unavailable. Contact us and we'll look into it.
